House Demo-The Struggle Is Real

A few months ago I found out that my house was basically falling down. By falling down I mean falling down! It started with a few cracks in the wall. Next, gaps in the hardwood floors. The moment I decided to call for help was when my daughter’s bathtub literally dropped an inch over night. After six estimates and discovering that there is about $50k worth of damage (that insurance will not cover) we have arrived a demo day.

For those of you that know me, I do not do well with mess, dirt and downright chaos. Throw in strangers in my house, mold, mildew, constant banging and old toilets in my front yard and well….I am losing my sh**.

This got me to thinking. What is it in some people that require neat and clean while in others absolute clutter and filth is perfectly acceptable? Where does the crazy live? Is it in the dirty or the clean? Or somewhere in between? I don’t know the answer and likely never will but in the meantime I will be praying. Praying for God to give me the strength to get through these next 5 weeks and 6 days. But who is counting? Namaste.

Day 1

Hi, welcome to my Lane Brain blog. This is something that I have wanted to do for a while. One, because everyone always says “you should write a book” and two because I have a lot to say. A little about a lot.

Please know that this blog is for fun! It’s not meant to solve the world’s problems or create any drama. It may have incorrect spelling, punctuation or grammar at times. It may have blurry photos or curse words. It may be super fun or super crazy. It’s a slice of my life and my thoughts. The good. The bad. The ugly.

Enjoy and thanks for following me.
